Our passion is to build soil health to grow healthy plants, healthy animals and healthy humans. How do we do that? It’s all about the roots! Nature is modest and likes to keep herself covered. This is why you see weeds grow where the soil is bare. When soil is bare the beneficial insects, fungi and bacteria that feed the plants die off causing all sorts of problems such as soil erosion, mineral deficiencies, poor water infiltration etc. When you have living roots in the ground year round the microbiology underneath thrives and so do the plants. When the animals graze these healthy plants it is good for the animals and causes stress to the plant. A stressed plant grows more root mass making it more resilient and benefiting soil health at the same time. The deeper the roots the better the water infiltration making the entire farm more resilient to drought. It’s a beautiful thing! This is Regenerative Agriculture in a nutshell. It’s good for the environment, it’s good for the animals and it’s good for us.
